All options screeners
Each one asks a different question of the same live option chains.
What the columns mean
- Days left: time until the contract expires.
- Volume and open interest: contracts traded (the last 24 hours for crypto, today for US options) and contracts still open.
- Premium traded: volume × option price × contract size, in US dollars.
- IV: implied volatility, the yearly move the option price assumes.
- Delta: roughly how much the option moves for a $1 move in the underlying, and a rough chance of finishing in the money.
- vs price: the strike against the underlying price.
Delayed/indicative data, not financial advice. Options are risky and can lose their whole value.
Frequently asked questions
Is this options screener free?
Yes. There’s no account and no subscription. Crypto options need nothing at all; US options need your own free Alpaca market-data key (about two minutes: how to get one). Your key is saved only in your browser and sent only to Alpaca.
Which options can it scan?
Crypto options (the default) come from Deribit’s public data: BTC and ETH, plus USDC-settled options on SOL, XRP, AVAX, TRX and HYPE, with OKX as a fallback. US options cover a watchlist of about 65 of the most active US stocks and ETFs, for expiries in the next 45 days and strikes within 30% of the price.
Is the data real-time?
No. Treat it as delayed and indicative. Deribit’s numbers are close to live; Alpaca’s free plan uses an indicative feed that may be delayed, and US open interest is from the previous session.
