The rules
- Swing: the highest high and the lowest low of the last 60, 120 or 250 bars, picked with the buttons above the table. If the low came first it is an up swing; if the high came first, a down swing.
- Retracement: how much of the swing price has given back since its end, from 0% (still at the swing high of an up swing) to 100% (back at the low). A down swing is the mirror image.
- At a level: the retracement within 3 points of 38.2%, 50% or 61.8%. Nearest level is the closest of 23.6, 38.2, 50, 61.8 and 78.6%.
- Swings smaller than 5 × the 14-day ATR, or whose end is the latest bar, don’t count. Above the 200-day means the close is above its 200-day simple moving average.
About this setup
- What it is
- Fibonacci retracements divide a swing into the ratios 23.6, 38.2, 50, 61.8 and 78.6%. After a strong move, price often pulls back part of the way before the trend resumes, and many traders watch these levels for that turn.
- How traders use it
- Trend traders buy up swings that pull back into the 38.2–61.8% zone (the golden pocket around 61.8% is a favourite) and sell down swings that bounce into it, with a stop beyond the 78.6% level or the swing start.
- Caveats
- The levels depend on which swing you pick; this screener uses the highest high and lowest low of a fixed window, which may differ from the swing you would draw by hand. Pullbacks often run past 61.8% and the trend ends.

Frequently asked questions
Which markets can it scan?
Four, picked with the Market buttons above the table. Crypto (the default) scans the 250 busiest USDT pairs on Binance. Crypto perps scans the 200 busiest USDT perpetual futures on OKX. Both are free public data and need no key. US stocks scans about 600 US stocks and ETFs with your own free Alpaca key, and CME futures scans about 25 front-month CME Group contracts (stock indexes, Treasuries, oil, gas, metals, grains, livestock, currencies and CME bitcoin) with your own free Massive key.
Why do stocks and futures need a key?
Stock and futures prices are licensed data, so a website can’t hand them out for free. Alpaca (for stocks) and Massive (for futures) give anyone a free data key. Your key is saved only in your browser and sent only to that provider. See how to get a free Alpaca key and how to get a free Massive key for futures.
Is the data real-time?
Crypto and crypto perps are live from Binance and OKX, on daily candles that start at 00:00 UTC (today’s candle is still forming). Alpaca’s free stock data is 15 minutes behind the market, and Massive’s free futures plan is 8 hours delayed. Turn on auto-refresh next to the results to update the table in place every 30 seconds, minute or 5 minutes.
